METHODS OF DEVELOPING CREATIVE THINKING IN STUDENT INSTRUMENTALISTS IN THE STUDY OF CONDUCTING

Abstract

In the modern process of conducting training, creative thinking acquires fundamental importance. The article defines the essence of the process of conducting training, reveals the concept of creative thinking as the ability to generate new approaches to reproducing the content of a musical work. The relevance of the issue of developing the thinking of student instrumentalists in conducting lessons is indicated. As a result of the conducted research, it was established that creative thinking is an effective regulator of practical training of students in the conducting class. It combines the specification of problem-solving tasks, variable methods of their solution and the production of new ideas. Modern requirements for future leaders of instrumental ensembles include the ability to think creatively, encourage the search for logical interdisciplinary connections when reproducing the musical content encoded in the score. To achieve the goal, it is proposed to use methods aimed at the effective formation of professional skills and abilities. The main ones are considered to be the development of intonational thinking, as a figurative perception of music, emotional-associative, timbral and heuristic thinking. To activate the learning process, the authors have defined pedagogical and creative tasks using the dialogization method, and developed samples of heuristic questions. The expediency of working on the cause-and-effect relationships of the nature of a musical image with its musical embodiment, emotional experiences and the transmission of content by means of manual techniques is indicated. For practical application, the sequence of the system of figurative-emotional thinking is determined: intonations – emotions – imagination – associations – logical thinking – musical language (conductor's gesture). In the study of conducting with an imaginary orchestra, the authors singled out a synectic approach to learning, as well as a synthesis of the synectic approach, heuristic techniques, and means of practical training of students. Such judgments should ensure the effectiveness of the proposed set of methods for developing creative thinking and studying the subject of orchestral conducting as a whole.
