TRANSFORMATION OF CHOREOGRAPHIC CULTURE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF GLOBALIZATION PROCESSES

Abstract

The article analyzes the peculiarity of the transformation of choreographic culture under the influence of globalization processes. It is noted that choreography, as a universal means of expression, plays a key role in every cultural paradigm that has existed or will exist. It is not only an art form, but also a powerful tool for transmitting socially significant information that reflects the values, beliefs and worldview of society. The analysis of choreographic practices allows not only to explore the peculiarities of the dance culture of a particular ethnic group, but also to reveal the deeper aspects of its culture and art in general. The authors note that the rapid development of society, especially in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, has led to an increased interest in innovations in the art of dance. The rapid pace of change in life, technological progress, the proliferation of mass media, and information accessibility have shaped a culture of consumption that has influenced choreography. Contemporary choreographic art, striving to reflect new realities, lacks traditional means of expression, which prompts the search for innovative approaches and forms. In the twentieth century, dance changed radically, moving away from classical ballet. Modern, postmodern, and contemporary dance emerged, looking for new forms of expression. The development of dance led to “choreographic materialism,” somatic practices, fragmented drama, and conceptual dance. Postmodernism enriched the art with film and photo projections, light and sound effects, electronic music, contact choreography, and miniature ballet. The study found that globalization processes characterized by the spread of information technology and intercultural interaction stimulate the search for new forms and methods of choreographic creativity. Contemporary choreographers are actively experimenting with different styles and trends, using digital technologies and multimedia to create innovative dance projects. And the universality of dance as a means of expression contributes to its integration into various spheres of human activity, which leads to the expansion of the boundaries of choreographic culture.
