Abstract

The article examines the features of food security in the regions of Ukraine and its role in the overall food security of the state. The article "Food Security Problem in Ukraine as a Challenge of Economic Globalization" analyzes the current state of food security in Ukraine in the context of globalization processes. The main factors affecting the formation of the food problem, including environmental, economic, and social aspects, are considered. The authors emphasize the importance of rational resource use, implementation of innovations in agriculture, and support for small farmers as the basis for strengthening food security. The risks of globalization, which exacerbate Ukraine's dependence on food imports, and possible ways to overcome them are also discussed. Particular attention is given to the need for strategic planning in the agro-industrial sector to ensure sustainable development. Various strategies are proposed to increase the efficiency of food production and supply, such as the development of interregional wholesale markets that facilitate more efficient distribution of products. The role of the government in regulating and supporting food markets through legislative and financial instruments is outlined. The need for a comprehensive approach to managing food security, which includes establishing cooperation between the state, the private sector, and civil organizations, is highlighted. The importance of implementing modern technologies at all stages of the agro-industrial complex to improve the quality and safety of products is emphasized. Such an integrated approach will enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian food products on the global market and strengthen the national economy. Strategic directions for increasing operational efficiency and ensuring sustainable development of the food market are proposed, including improving infrastructure and developing effective policy decisions for managing food resources at the regional level. It is established that regional policy and in-depth analysis of the components of the food complex are crucial for achieving food independence and stability.
