INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS: DIRECTIONS OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Abstract
The article is devoted to studying innovative technologies in transport and logistics and the analysis of the industry's direction of digital transformation. The global transport and logistics market development trends are presented, including the dynamics of logistics costs and industry growth forecasts. The challenges faced by the modern transport industry are analyzed, particularly the complexity of networks, automation, integration, and adaptability, while innovative solutions for overcoming them are indicated. The importance of the transition to innovation-oriented management is emphasized to achieve long-term growth and sustainability in a dynamic market environment. The article examines the integration of Internet of Things technologies and sensor systems in logistics as a key factor of digital transformation. Their role in collecting data in real-time, which contributes to increasing supply chain management efficiency, monitoring cargo conditions, and optimizing logistics processes, is considered. The prospects for using autonomous transport, particularly unmanned cars, trucks, drones and automated railway transport, are highlighted. The concept of Mobility as a Service is analyzed as a tool for integrating different modes of transport into a single digital platform to increase the availability of transport services and reduce congestion. Special attention is paid to the development of e-commerce and its impact on last-mile logistics. The role of autonomous vehicles in transforming logistics processes is studied, particularly their impact on route optimization, cost reduction and increased transportation safety. The prospects for the implementation of smart transport infrastructure are considered, including adaptive traffic lights and dynamic traffic flow management. The example of leading companies in the industry (FedEx, JD.com, Amazon) demonstrates the practical application of digital technologies to increase the efficiency of logistics operations. Conclusions are drawn regarding the prospects for the further development of transport logistics and the key role of innovative technologies in ensuring the competitiveness of companies in the global market.
